Design a Bag Competition
Many of our shopping centre retailers have signed up to the Government's Voluntary Code of Practice on Carrier Bags, which sees all retailers working towards a shared objective with Government and the Waste Resources and Action Programme (WRAP) to reduce the environmental impact of carrier bags.  To support this objective Pyramids and Grange Shopping Centre is launching their own community carrier bag.
We have invited local school children to create a design to go onto the front of the recycled, reusable community ‘bag for life’.  The best design will be selected by a panel of judges from the local community and printed on the bags.  These bags will then be sold (for a donation of £1 per bag) by our retailers with all donations given to our nominated local charity Claire House.  The winning designer will receive a prize and a state of the art digital camera for their school.

To the left is an example of the outstanding quality of the entries received to date from some of the schools, this one is from a pupil at St Werburgh's, Birkenhead
